BIOGRAPHY
Maja Jelušić was born in 1976 in Split. She graduated in textile design from the Faculty of Textile Technology in Zagreb and completed her studies in museology at the Faculty of Philosophy in Zagreb.
She is the last Yugoslav swimming champion and the first Croatian finswimming champion. She expresses herself through paintings, creations, installations and writes. She has published three poetry collections and two picture books. She has exhibited at multiple group and solo exhibitions.
Since 2000, she owns and manages the Hvaroom gallery in the town of Hvar. From 2011 to 2018, together with Filip Bubal, she was the initiator and organizer of the biennial art festival „Hvar For Art“ in Hvar.
She is a member of the multimedia section of Hulu Split and HZSU.
After Zagreb, Amsterdam and Ljubljana, she draws, writes and swims in Split and on the island of Hvar.
